Re-cap

So I figured before this year ends I would do a quick re-cap of what happened this year.

But first let me post about Christmas - we had a fabulous Christmas Kelly was so excited to open his major award.

Don't you just love it, its the cutest nightlight ever thanks to Kelly's mom for getting that for him.
Yeah we got wii Fit!!! This too came from Kelly's parents, they spoiled us a little to much. I love it I play with it everyday and let me tell you it makes you sweat and I can feel the burn!! Anyone want to come over and try it feel free! We also go Sean White's Snowboarding game that you have to use the wii Fit board with, I may be a horrible snowboarder on the snow, but on the wii I am a pro!! I have a lot of fun with it! Christmas was a blast, Kelly spoiled me way to much but I love it I wont lie. We got to visit my family for Christmas this year but because of the snow we got stuck at my grandparents house in Kearns and had to spend the night on Christmas day. It was a great day and we survived yet another holiday.

Well This past year, its been a doosy - I would be lying it I said it was great! We had some good times, lots of things were going on but we also had some hard time.
Kelly got transferred once again from the Orem SA to the new Sandy store. They moved the Sandy store across the street so he got transferred there to open the new store. It was a lot of hours, a lot of work but it has paid off. He was there from the beginning of the move, and had to set the entire store with merchandise in little less than 3 weeks. So we saw each other very little. But he likes it there, its not much closer to home than the Orem store but it will do. He still works a ton and now that Christmas is over maybe we will see each other a little more.

I still wrok for NMFN as a recruiter in downtown SLC. I love it here. I am always doing new things, and I work with great people. I recently started to take the bus to work which is so relaxing, I don't have to drive in traffic, its pretty carefree and I get to take a nap twice a day if I want. I love it. But I have been staying busy with running, and the gym and recently taken up soccer (thanks to Wendy) so I keep busy while Kelly is working many many hours. We bustle along with life. I completed my first half marathon in Apirl and today I plan to register for next years half marathon - so help me keep motivated. I'm excited to fulfill that challenge. Running has been hard for me lately only because lack of motivation but I plan to change that.

We went skiing a lot last year, pretty much every Saturday from January to March - hopefully we get that much skiing in this year - even though snow and me aren't the best of friends as a lately; maybe that will help rekindle our relationship. We also celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past November and got to see Wicked in LA. It's been a wild 5 years!

Router is still the best dog ever and he makes me laugh ever so hard and the silly things he does. We love him and so glad he is part of our family.
We have been blessed throughout 2008 and we are so grateful for the many blessings we have recieved. I hope to make 2009 bigger and better. Happy New Year everyone - may you receieve many blessing in 2009! Love you all and don't forget to keep in touch wherever life takes you!

Not funny anymore!

So I did love the snow, I thought it was a very Beautiful thing that happened every winter. It covers the earth with this lovely white fluffy peaceful goodness. OHH NOT ANYMORE!! I hate it!!! I hate it, it's not my friend, I dispise it, I reject it in every way. I feel like Loreli Gilmore on Gilmore Girls when she loves the snow but then it turns evil and makes her life misrable by breaking a branch on her car from all the heavey snow, she steps in a puddle from all the slush and gets a wet foot, the inn get snowplowed in and no one will come snowplow it out of the driveway - this is my life today, I feel like Loreli Gilmore - I HATE THE SNOW!!!!!!!

First I hate my city I get stuck everytime I get out of my driveway, and if I am lucky enough to actually make it out of my driveway without getting stuck - no fear I get stuck at the TOP of my alley way! Oh yes it is true!
But today is the kicker, today is the day that the snow is the spawn of satan!! As many of you know I take the bus to work. I love the bus its so nice and cozy and secure and their aren't any crazy people on it, just nice gentleman that let me get on the bus first because I am a girl. Oh yes I love the bus. But today the snow ruined it for me. First I didn't know that the park and ride was owned by my city (sarcasm) and didn't beleive in plowing their streets, in my case the park and ride lot. Ohh so no fear everytime I pull into the lot I get my car stuck in the many feet of snow. Last week I got stuck and just left it in hopes I could get out when I get off the bus at night.
So I pulled in today and the bus just got there so I tried to park so I could catch my bus but alas I got stuck in the middle of the parking lot, can't just leave it there. So I watch the bus leave with haste as I spin my tires in hopes of unlodgeing myself. I manage to get free of the snows evil grasp and I manage to park my car in a space with the least amount of snow. Only to see my next and only other bus I can take to get to work. I jump out of my car and scurry to the bus. Have you ever tried to walk on mounds of snow and ice capped hills in high heals? Not easy, specially when you are trying to hurry as quickly and safley as possible - ONLY to get on the bus and find out walking in that snow covered parking lot with ice capped hills it has managed to do this:

I broke my heal!!! I was so mad, so sad, so irritated, really I didn't know how to feel!! I wish I had a pillow to scream in at that point would have made me feel just a little better.

So the rest of the day I get to walk around like this:

When I get home I better have a homemade ice skating rink with white skates so I can skate around my yard in hopes to rekindle my realtionship with snow. If not snow and me are so over - I'm moving as close to the equator as habitatly possible, but before I go I will burn all the snow in my path with my hair dryer!! Goodbye you evil spawn of satan!

p.s. I don't think habitatly is really a word but it is today!
p.p.s I do have a Christmas post to write just at work with out my pictures - and it will be pleasent promise!
What a way for 2008 to go out in a bang eh?

?????

OHH the things I could call this post - so many options what to do what to do! But I had to keep this blog at least PG - so I went with ??? seemed safe.

Does that explain it? Yep I have about 13 inches and counting in my yard. Oh the joys let me tell you! AND the things you think about while you are shoveling snow. Well let me entertain you with my thoughts for one moment.

"I really hate Eagle Mountain - they need to invest in a plow."
"Really, REALLY I just shoveled that."
"Maybe I will shovel my neighbors driveway when I am done with mine"
"HHAHAHHAHAHAHHHHAHAHAHHAHAHA, funny deanna"
"At least this time I have snow boots on and not my high heels."
"hmm how many snow storms have we had so far? Why is it that I am the one ALWAYS shoveling the snow"
"I wish I had a cow right now, I could use one right now"
"I think I will invest in a snowblower instead of my future, seems more plausable"
"WOW they have a backhoe, I hope he comes down my street."
"Maybe if I stay out here long enough my dishes will get done."
"SKIING"
"Wee this is fun"
"I'm I done yet"
"The sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow"
"Does salt really crack my driveway?"
"Why do I pay my HO if they don't plow my road?"
"ohh no I hope I get to work tomorrow its my work party"
"the sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow"
"am I being tested for something here?"
"I have a bad back, you have a bad attitude."
So you see why woulddn't I enjoy shoveling snow. Then my mom called me and had to rub it in that she has zero inches of snow - I love her!

Then I come inside and Router starts freaking out. Why you ask? Well because of this:

It's his stocking - I think this dog has a problem with stocking he is obsessed!!! Then he carried it around the house. He is so ready for Santa to come and fill that stock with lots of goodies. Ohh he is so cute I love him so much!

I love my snow too :)

Tag your it

1. List these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Well I've been tagged by my sister Jennifer
7 facts about myself: hmm this is going to take some thinking

1. I served president Hinckley dinner at SUU and his body guards.
2. I graduated SUU with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and while living in Cedar City I did the news on a SMALL (emphasis on small) tv station.
3. I had a tree branch puncture my leg, hit my bone and come out.
4. Kelly is more baby hungry then I will ever be.
5. I have an accessories fetish: shoes, hats, gloves, scarfs, jewelery ect - they make me happy
6. Cookies are my downfall, I just can't resist them. Please don't put out cookies I will just eat them then I get mad for eating so many cookies. But they are so delicious!
7. I know a lot about sprinkler systems, I even check out what types of sprinkler heads people have on their grass. I know nerd right!! Thats what you get for working 3 years at Sprinkler World.

I don't like to tag people - its the whole I am forcing you to do it, so if you want to do it then by all means do it - no hurt feelings.
I think they are kind of fun to do sometimes, since my life is pretty boring its nice to have a new post on my blog - even if it is all about me, but I'm a fan of myself. HA HA HA

Check it

So this past weekend was so much fun I have to tell about it.

So Saturday night we went to th Motab Christmas Concert at the Conference Center - its always amazing. I love going to that every year. This year was exspecially special because we got to see Edward Hermann!! Yeah so cool. So then Friday I went to my soccor game (we lost 2-0) but we had so much fun, and I got this wicked bruise on my ankle - its cool!! Then that night my sister J'net and I went back down town to meet Edward Hermann in person!!!!! YEAH!! He is so cute. I loved him on Gilmore Girls so we had to go meet him. Jnet bought a CD that he is in and then he signed it - so we got to chat with him for a few minutes. Yeah!! We were 4th in line baby!! They told us we couldn't take pictures with him so after he signed the CD we stepped aside and took pictures with him in the background - same idea. Jnet has those pictures I'll post them they are funny.
Then ...... does your town do this?
Yeah Eagle Mountain has Santa Clause ride around on the Fire truck and throw candy to all the kids. Its so funny to see the kids run around trying to see him. I was standing on the porch and this girl came running past my house, noticed me and stopped and said Santa is coming on the fire truck, they did this last year, he throws out candy; its kind of fun." Then took off screaming SANTA!! I just laughed, kids are so funny. Router on the other hand HATED it, I think it was more the noise that scared him but he wanted nothing to do with any of it. I laughed and we waved as Santa drove by.
Then Saturday day/night Jnet and I went shopping at the Gateway ALL DAY!! We had the best time ever, and we both got all of our Christmas shopping done. It feels really great!! Ohh it was so much fun, walking in the cold, all bundled up, carrying our bags through Gateway. FUN!!
So yes I had a great weekend - Kelly ohh he worked I saw him for like 10 min on Sunday before I went to bed. Once the holidays are over maybe he wont works so much (ha) Luv ya

Router loves trees

Everyone's kids are obsessed with the Christmas tree - well mine isn't any different. Router is obssesed with this one ornament on our tree, it really isn't even an ornament, its a stocking that Kelly had since he was a wee lad - but everytime Router sees it in the tree he has to get it. I think its so hilarious - so here is what I caught him doing. (okay I egg him on a little because it's so funny)

See just a stocking, but he can't get enough

Ohh man it's so funny!! I guess its better that he plays in the tree then pee on the tree like he did last year. Can't complain, laughing is a great medicine.
