RSL

May 8th - we had our second half of Christms to Nate and Wendy. We went to another Real Game. This one was the day before Mother's Day so they had a tribute to Mom's and we got a free soccer bag. You see we give gifts that Nate and Wendy are forced to hang out with us in order to us - he he he. They won 3 to 0!!! Way to go boys!!

# 11 Javier Morales with a winning shot- actually I think in this shot he kicked it and then Beckerman was there and actaully scored the goal. Either way it was a winning shot!

The only picture I got of Wendy, Nate and Korver. I feel bad, you can't even see Wendy, and Korver's eyes are closed. Every picture I took of Korver his eyes were closed. Ohh well thanks guys for coming with us we always have a great time with you!

US! Awww
Kelly is kind of dork he kept asking me how Penelope likes Soccer, if she was kicking like a soccer player. He is just excited right? But yes she did!

30 Weeks

May 16, 2010

So far I've been feeling great.

I still work out 5-6 times a week if my time allows me.

I feel like I have put on a lot of weight which is frustrating to me.

I haven't been sick (knock on wood). The only thing I don't like to smell is steak being cooked in my house. If Kelly cooks it on the grill and then brings it inside its fine, but cooked inside and ate inside is a huge NO- NO.

She is a good kicker - but only when no one is around. Kelly has felt her many times but the moment we are around people its almost like she gets shy and stops moving and kicking. She better not be a shy little thing us Parkers are NOT SHY!!

No real cravings - I usually know what I want and don't waiver from that but don't crave certain things all the time.

I broke down and bought a pair of maternity pants - I actually like them if they would stay on my butt. They are just a very different feel than my normal pre-pregnancy pants.

I wouldn't say I enjoy being pregnant but its not as bad as I thought it would be. I still have my moments and break down, but only when no one is around. I suffer in silence. But I do love those moments with her where she kicks and squirms and wiggles inside of me, I giggle alot at her. I think I'll miss those the most.

Shopping is fun and tough at the same time. We want to buy her the world but have to resist. Girls are more fun to shop for. Kelly says we have to much pink. Ohh well I love pink and so will she.

We are very excited for her to be here but we are willing to wait for her to be good and ready so she can be heathly and strong.

Beginning, during, after

Rules to Remodeling your house:

#1 - Don't do this while pregnant. You feel so useless and everything seems harder. You aren't allowed to move certain things and if you try people tend to yell at you.
I'm a very independant person and so this was a very big challenge for me.

#2 - Painting sucks - don't believe me ask Kelly he did most of it.

We painted Penelopes room (he he see how her door is closed so you can't see the final project yet). We also painted all the baseboards and door frames and doors upstairs. I didn't get to help with much, I did manage to help with the hall door frames and some of the doors. But again you aren't allowed to paint while pregnant. To many rules!!!
#3 - A clean home is a happy home

hey this reminds me of my nemisis - how could you forget? Check it here .
It's true what they say when you have an organized home your happier. This may not seem like a big mess but it just got worse and worse as the days went on. The down stairs had everything out of the two rooms crammed into our living room. We had ZERO carpet in our house except for our bedroom which we waiting till Friday night to pull out. By Friday night we had our bed in the kitchen blocking the stove, the sink, we had just enough path to get downstairs. IT WAS A MESS. I slept horrible all week long (not that I don't already). Coming home to this mess make me twitch a little. And poor little Router didn't understand. He followed us around no matter where we went, wouldn't leave our site, I think he was afraid we were moving and we were going to leave him. Poor little guy, so tramatized!

#4 - Keep your eye on the prize. Even with all the jumble and messes and paint splatters and paint buckets. The end result is all worth it! Seeing what you accomplished from all your hard work is a reward in itself. Kelly did an amazing job he worked so hard everyday to make our house transform into our home. I don't think I thank him enough for what he does for me, he really is amazing!
It is amazing what a coat of paint will do to a place, what it will do to your spirit! It's clean and refreshing and makes the room look so crisp. We want to finish painting out bedroom - but that will have to come later. I don't either of us have the strength to do another room right now. It took us 2 weeks just to pick penelopes colors in her room, imagine our room! One day, one day. We have to get her room all ready for her arrival, stuff to buy and things to still to organize - feels like so little time.

New padding is down. We upgraded our padding to a thicker pad and a protection against spills and accidents. With a kid on the way and a dog you just never know what might happen. It was worth the extra money, but I also got it at a discount. Regular upgrade for this padding $2 sf, for the Princess $1 per square foot. You can feel the difference, its amazing

#5 - Enjoy it - Router sure did and it wasn't even finished yet. We came up the stairs to have a look at the progress and he got so excited to have carpet again he instantly started running around in circle and being Router. I love this dog, he truely is the best thing - he will always be my baby!

I may not have rolled around like Router, but I enjoyed vacuuming my fresh new clean carpet! Don't you just love the smell of fresh carpet? mmmm I love it!! It was nice to "enjoy it"

We love the new carpet gives our house a NEW feel and look. I'll post pictures of penelopes finished room at a later date. We have some stuff to "add" to it. STAY TUNED!!!

Work then Play

HA HA love it! Yep thats me cutting the lawn. I wanted to help do the yard work so I did. It was sure fun. Tired to convince Kelly that we needed one of these for our yard - he ruined that fun and said our yard was to small! But think I could do the ENTIRE neighborhood in half the time! Thanks Grandpa for allowing me to cut the lawn.

We love going to Cedar City because we get to see these people (and so many others) but here is a great picture of Kelly's Mom and Grandpa John. We always go see Grandpa John and bring him KFC chicken and do some yard work for him. Here they are watching me mown th lawn - are they laughing at me?

We had a great time in Cedar - its always fun to go down there and see family. We sure miss living down there some days. It's a very different world than up here - but we are blessed to have such a wonderful family.
While we were there Danica, our sister-in-law, and Kelly's Mom threw me a baby shower. That was a lot of fun, we, or should I say SHE got spoiled? Yeah we did! For some reason I didn't even take my camera out at the shower so I'll have to see about getting the pictures from Kelly's mom and post some. We got great loot though thanks everyone for coming!! We had a great time, we played the typcial games but they are funny. Baby bingo, guess the candy bar in the diaper (still grosses me out) and the remember game. I don't think this game is very fair for the mom to be - we get pregnancy brain WE FORGET EVERYTHING. Needless to say I couldn't remember any of the baby items in the basket I think I just started to make up stuff. Ohh well. The funny moment opening presents was we got the same outfit 3 different times in 3 different sizes. So Penelope can wear it as a newborn, 0-3 months, and 3-6 months - its like a new outfit all over again. Good times, and thank you to all for being so generous to us!

It was great to see so many old friends, and the family we miss them all and don't get down to Cedar enough!

So much going on

Reviewing my camera the other day I realized I have much to blog about so here are some random updates.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!! (April 30th)

Yeah well you see we had a party for him - but he is 15 years old mind you. We all met at my sisters house, he was late to his own party. When he got there we ate banana splits he then quickly opened his presents took the money out of the cards then asked if he could spend the night at one of his friends house. I would say he was there for roughly 20 minutes TOPS! Yeah so needless to say I didn't even get a picture of him at his party. Sooo... we entertained ourselves the duration of the night - okay Jenn's kids did.

Gavin - what a cute little chunkster!

Zack - yes we were teaching him to go in and out of the doggy door. It was cold outside and he wanted to play out there. So we taught him how to go in and out. He thought it was great.

So Happy Birthday Tyler - 15 years old CRAZY
