Update

I thought I should put an update about Kellys Dad. But he got to go home last Sunday and he is doing really well. He went to a doctors appointment a couple of days ago and walked ona tredmil, did the stairstepper - and they say he is doing well. So thanks for all your prayers and all your concern. He is doing so much better and we couldn't be more happier! Now he is hope and BORED out of his mind - so any suggestions on what to do with a old man who can't move his arms much and what he can do at home let us know!

Beware of yard work

If youre not careful you could end up with one of these:

Pretty huh! No Kelly doens't beat me with a whip - but it does look like it. I was doing yardwork yesterday for about 5 hours and I have this pretty mark to show for it! It's just a little tender.

Yard work is like a endless process the only thing I like at the end is instant gratification I get from it. Makes me feel good to walk aroud my yard and know I accomplished something in just a few short hours. I wish this is how it worked when I worked out, that when I ran my legs instantly became smaller, or with every sit up I did my stomach would start getting those defined ab marks. Oh but alas I have to keep working day and day out to get the results I want with that. Why can't things be more like gardening?

Road to recovery

Well just thought I would put a update on Kelly's Dad. He is doing really really. He only threw up like twice today!!! He is really well, he got out of ICU today and into his own comfortable room, well as comfortable as the hospital can be. He walked liked 30 feet today while holding on to the wheel chair and did really well till he felt like throwing up, but at least he is out of bed. He has this cute little heart pillow that he has to hold to his chest to relieve the pressure and to keep his arms close so his chest can heal.

Ohh as we speak he is getting ready to get up with TJ the heart rehab doctor and take a lap around the nurses station. I have to stay in front of him so I don't "see" anything. At least he still has his sense of humor.

Hopefully he gets to go home by the end of the week but only time can tell, for now he is doing great - I'll keep you posted so everyone knows.

It's a waiting game

I'm not sure about the people that hang out in hospitals all day; they flock like birds to the free food, take off their shoes and lounge around in the waiting room and I have officially become one of them. We are here for good reason though. Kelly's Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday for bypass surgery. They started the procedure today at 730 and by 11 o'clock they had finished doing 6 bypasses. Yep you read that right 6. We first that it was only going to be 5 but they can never know for sure till they get in there, I say it's better to have more than not enough and have to come in again and do it all over. He is doing great!! We got to see him twice already, he looked like poo the first time with tubes and wires and hoses and pipes and who knows what else poking out of him from every direction. But that was just when he got out of surgery. The second time he actually had color and was starting to skowl at us as we spoke to him, ohh his sense of humor is coming back already.

It is always a scary thing to go through when you see your Dad that way, Kelly has been having a hard time with it. But with a lot of fasting and prayers we all have been comforted at this time. The hard part is over and now it's on the road to recovery. We are so grateful for the medicine we have today, and the doctors abilities they have - new respect for those doctors. Good think I watch Greys Anatomy and I wasn't to alarmed with what was going on. HA HA HA.

But I will keep you posted on his health as he recovers. He is a great man with a huge heart and we are glad they found these problems before it came to late!! Love you Rickey!

And yes I have my shoes off, and I did take a nap on the couch this morning, and I did eat their cereal they had for us. Hey it has been a long morning - don't judge me! :)

Oh the joy of Spring

I love the spring time, I love the flowers blooming, oh the sweet joys of Spring. But with spring comes WEEDING!!! I don't know about anyone else but I hate those darn weeds, I swear the more you pick them the more they grow! Well today with the beautiful day it was I decided to get up early and get some yard work done. Well it just sucks you in!! I started at 8 this morning and didn't stop till after 1!!!! HOLY HELL WOMEN!!! Well you see it was Friday, garbage day, so I had to get up early so I could stalk to the garbage man so when he emptied my garbage I could hurry and fill it again and put it across the street so he could empty it again - PERFECT PLAN I KNOW!!!!! Well like I said once you start you can't stop it's ridiculous I know. But in the end I feel pretty good about myself and what I accomplished. So feel free to stop by my house and tell me what a beautiful yard I have (makes me feel good) ha ha I'm just glad Spring finally decided to come - now if only the weeds would die right along side winter my world would be a happier place. Ohh well - to the wonderful life of taking care of a yard, at least I get some accomplishment out of it!!
Ohh and Router sure is a big help when it comes to digging in the dirt - what a good helper he is!

I love him!!

Ohh and just in case some of you haven't heard, I lost my job the other day. Yeah WEEEEEE Fun huh, thats why I get to stay home on a Friday ang WEED my yard all day. I'm over the sad crying stage of it, I think it was more of the shock of actually being fired, I'm not at the bitter stage where I dislike them for firing me!! BOO yeah so it happened Wednesday and it really happens like you see in the movies (well besides the whole security guard shooing me out) I found a box, gathered all my stuff and walk down the aisle in shame. Yeah it was pretty terrible, so BOO to my work for firing me. And here a few month ago I wrote a whole blog about how I love my job - blah blah blah and then they do this to me!!!!! What a bunch a, hmm so many words came into my head, some not very nice. Lets just say what a bunch or dorks. So long!!!!! I'll update you when I find a new job, it has been nice these last 2 days getting caught up on things I have neglected for so long. But BOO THEM!!!!
