Avenue Q

This ain't you children's type of play. Yes this play has puppets and singing and dancing - but it's no Seasame Street thats for sure. My sister said she was reading some blog where her kids saw this on TV and wanted to go see it cause it had Puppets and their mom was like OKAY - puppets can't be bad right? So I am just saying research what you take your kids to before you take them!

I love plays though and when my friend Jenn asked me to go I was like sure- she seen it before and liked it. I thought it was rude, crude, and very funny what can I say.
Thanks Jenn!!
Yep this is us with a puppet from the play - just look at that face so innocent!! Yes he is the worst puppet of the show.

Guns and Hoses

WE HEART FIREMEN!!! And who doesn't like when firemen are on the ice playing Hockey - who would be crazy enough to pass that up!

It was the 8th annual Guns and Hoses Hockey game. Local Firemen and Police officers get together and have a hockey game against each other and raise money for Shriners Hospital. It's a great cause and a great time. The Guns had won the lat 2 years and so the Hoses were on "fire" hehehe
Jnet and I after the game.
It's so fun because neither the Hoses or Guns are professionals by any means, I mean they have skill they can skate (for the most part) and they can manage the stick (most of the time) and they know how to hit a puck (most of the time) and with all that it makes great entertainment. Often times they would end up on there stomach or fall flat on there back, or they would be going really fast and not know how to stop so they would fall or hit the wall. They tripped over themselves and each other a couple of times. But DAMN those Hoses look good doing it. We had so much fun cheering for those Hoses. We had two brothers from the Weber Fire Department that actually had skill they scored MOST of our goals. And because of that the Guns went after them alot - those dirty little pigs. We laughed we cheered and we had a great time doing it. Thanks Jnet for asking me to go to the game with you!

Final Score - HOT HOSES takes the cup this year! Sorry Pigs - doughnuts are in the locker room.

One happy Family - WINNERS!!!

We do it all for Charity of course so that means lets fights. Can't fight while playing for Charity.

HOCKEY

So for Christmas my Mom got all of us tickets to a Hockey Game. We love Hockey, you can be rude and crude (in a good way) and yell and scream and have so much fun and no one cares (well sometimes they throw popcorn at you cause you are having more fun then they are) We love going to Hockey Games, we love doing things as a family. Aren't all things more fun when you are with people that enjoy them too? So here is the best moment of Hockey:

This is Hockey - its those few agonizing moments when they aren't fighting that hockey sucks. he he he. I love it when they have to bring out the ice scraper and scrap the blood off the ice. I am totally and insanly sick aren't I? Ohh well what will ya do!

This is mellow Kelly at the Hockey game - he doens't get "as" excited as I do. He cheers when they score but thats about it. I think his first experience with me at a game he probably thought: "umm I married this? EEEEKKKK" ohh well what will ya do.. I am who I am.

The game was fun even though they lost HORRIBLELY, ohh I'm sorry they didn't lose they forgot to show up. Las Vegas scored 4 goals in the first half - 3 of those were in the first like 8 min it was SOO sad. The score was like 5 to 8 I think - sad sad but it was still fun to yell at the refs. They really don't know what they are doing - neither do I but I like to yell at them. I know that when they push two of our guys and our goalie into the goal with the puck shouldn't be qualified as a goal - happened it was totally lame I almost threw something at the refs. My favorite thing to yell at Hockey games is PUCK off!! OHh man I laugh even now. I'm so clever
Thanks Mom for always an OSM Christmas present and a "ice" of a good time.

Color Me Mine

So all these happened in January I just have so little time on my hands as of late that I am lucky I get a spare moment to breath.
If many of you haven't heard all ready I now work 7 days a week at the studio. I work the Saturday and Sunday morning shifts - its only 2 hours still but I am gaining more and more hours there and thats what I want. I love it so much. But the downside is that I have to work Saturaday and Sunday at 7-9. Now this isn't a big deal but for some reason my brain and body shuts off during the weekends during these hours. I go to work but then I lag the rest of the day. The worst was last Saturday I went home and I was in bed by 8:30 and still came home after work and slept. It's sad I know. The only thing that gets me through it is that I only do the 7 days a week twice a month. This was my choice its just to much to drive every weekend I do enough driving as it is. So in turns this is why I slack at blogging. By the time I get home from everyday stuff the last thing I want to do is sit on my computer at home. But I will try to keep a better Journal of my life.

That being said moving on...

For Christmas my sisters and I gave my Mom a dinner and a date day with her 3 HOT daughters. So a couple weekends ago we took her to Color Me Mine and had lunch at Zupas. We had so much fun.
For those of you who don't know what it is you go there and choose a piece of pottery to paint, weather it be a plate, a cup, a cute figurine, or whatever else they had. And you choose the paint, the stencils, the patterns, whatever you like, however you like it.. and you paint it. Then they fire it for you and you get to pick it up a week later. The hardest part I think was picking out what you wanted to paint. They had so many things to choose from that it was hard to narrow it down. We all ended up doing something completly differnt and in our own styles. We had a great time together. This would even be fun for kids to do!
So here is our results of that day:

This is us all painting - see those happy faces!

BEFORE
These are all of our plates after we were done painting. Mine is the Tourquise bowl, Jnets is the red Plate, Jen's is the Chip and Dip platter, and way in the back is my Mom's cup.

This is a single shot of my plate - it didn't come out JUST like I wanted to - the brown I didn't paint on all the bottom like I intended but I tried. The lady at the store tried to ruin mine by coming up and grabbing my sponge and start "showing me" how to paint the lace on.. I kind of yelled at her - in a good way. She wasn't doing it where I wanted. Ohh well

AFTER

This is after I picked them up after being all fired. They turned out SOOO great. Don't you love them all!! I do.

The cheese stands alone - she didn't make it when I picked them all up so she got her picture taken later.

All of us with our finished products (minus Jnet but her plate included)
